While talking to June, a fellow professional life/business/accountability coach three years ago, she asked, “Why don’t you come walk in Hawaii?”, “What’s stopping you?” A week later, I was on a plane and headed to Honolulu! Nearly two decades ago, I found myself adrift in the depths of despair following the end of my 17-year marriage. Despite having dedicated 12 years to a successful career at Delta Airlines, it failed to provide any joy I desperately sought. I had become emotionally numb in my work, and the timing coincided with the dissolution of my marriage, compelling me to yearn for change.
